I'm talking, of course, about this notion that Master would carefully consider the matter, and conclude sagely that its regulatory ministrations are absolutely essential in order to, you know, keep the Internet free.

I'm not worried. The idiots might make the internet less convenient, and possibly more expensive, but their ability to actually control it is zip. Unless, maybe, they can shut down all of the telephones, wireless technology, satellites and so forth.... and probably not even then.
When a mountain shows up in your path, those who still want to travel find a way around it.
